Phoenix Premium Outlets job fair seeks to fill 800 spots

With its projected April 4 opening approaching, Phoenix Premium Outlets will host a job fair Friday at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa on the Gila River Reservation.

Grand-opening festivities are set for April 4-7 at the outlet mall, southwest of the Interstate-10/Loop 202 interchange, near the convergence of Ahwatukee, Chandler and Tempe, where roughly 90 retailers will employ approximately 800 people.

Retailers making their Arizona debut at the center include DKNY, Elie Tahari, Hugo Boss and Max Studio.com. Others include Famous Wok, Green Leafs and Bananas, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen and Wetzel’s Pretzels.

“The shoppers in the Phoenix community are savvy shoppers who are on the lookout for great savings on their favorite merchandise,” said Kathy Frederiksen, newly appointed general manager.

“We are excited to come to this area and bring 90 stores that offer the designer and name-brand merchandise that our shoppers love.”

Frederiksen, who has managed Premium Outlets near Orlando, Fla., and Palm Springs, Calif., will lead the management staff that also will be filled at the job fair.

The Friday job fair is 10a.m.-7p.m. Positions vary by merchant, but store managers, sales associates, customer service and maintenance workers are among jobs available.
