Simon To Build Tulsa Premium Outlets®

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced the location for its Tulsa Premium Outlets® in the City of Jenks, Oklahoma.

This much-anticipated project will be built along the south side of Creek Turnpike just west of the Arkansas River in Jenks's River District. The first phase of the development will be approximately 325,000 square feet and feature 80 to 90 stores offering residents and tourists exceptional brands at extraordinary savings. Construction in Jenks is scheduled to start in spring 2016 with an opening in summer 2017.

Simon Announces Plan To Build Hartford Premium Outlets®

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced today it submitted earlier this month an Application for Rezoning with the Town of Windsor Locks (CT) Planning and Zoning Commission, beginning its development activities on  Hartford Premium Outlets®.

Hartford Premium Outlets will be located near the intersection of Route 20 and I-91 on Old Country Road. Phase One of the value shopping landmark will consist of 350,000 square feet of retail space, a Market Hall complete with a variety of dining options, and two notable restaurants on the property's perimeter.

The architectural style of the center will be inspired by Classic Colonial and Connecticut rural architecture, so that the village-like setting will be reminiscent of a Windsor Locks community. Visitors will find numerous pedestrian promenades which will include fountains, art, a children's play area, and an outdoor fireplace.

The project is anticipated to begin construction in fall 2016 with a Grand Opening to occur 13 months after construction start.

Shisui Premium Outlets Expands By Sixty-Two Stores

INDIANAPOLIS, April 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced today that, in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.,  it has opened the expansion of the very popular Shisui Premium Outlets® (outside Tokyo, Japan).

Shisui Premium Outlets initially opened only two years ago, in April, 2013. This first phase of the project opened 100% leased with 121 stores featuring a mix of international brands, Japanese brands and restaurants. The shopping center is located approximately 40 miles from the center of Tokyo and just 15 minutes from Narita International Airport, Japan's largest international hub airport.

The second phase, opening today, adds 62 new stores, including four restaurants, bringing the total store count to 183. The expansion adds 136,000 square feet of stores bringing the total project to 375,000 square feet. Nine brands will open their first outlet stores in Japan including casual outdoors brand Chums, popular for its refined, colorful designs; daily wear brand Traditional Weatherwear, offering a rich selection of basic items by British Mackintosh; and Swedish-born Nudie Jeans.

Giorgio Armani Vancouver outlet store opening this Spring

Italian luxury brand Giorgio Armani will open an outlet location this Spring at Vancouver’s new McArthurGlen Designer Outlets, according to Retail Insider. This is the second Armani outlet to be opened in Canada, with the first in Toronto opened in 2014.

Opening in the spring of 2015, North America’s first McArtherGlen Designer Outlets will be located at Templeton Skytrain Station next to Vancouver International Airport. The 5,350 sq. ft. outlet will carry product from all Armani lines for men and women, except for the couture Armani Privé line.

As previously announced, the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport will feature two luxury piazzas, and is designed as an open-air village, with pedestrian-friendly walkways and tree-lined streets. The mall’s first phase will span 240,000 sq. ft. with 80 retailers, many of them being luxury brands. Eventually, the mall will span 400,000 sq. ft. with about 150 stores with emphasis being on luxury designer brands.

The Giorgio Armani brand is synonymous with a luxury lifestyle and boasts a 40 year history within the fashion industry having launched his namesake label in 1975.
