Osprey London store revamps at McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet

by etravelblackboard

McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet announces the re-launch of the newly refitted OSPREY LONDON store in the centre. The revamp is the latest development in the luxury leather handbag chain’s wider business strategy to enhance their outlet shopping experience.

The centre, which offers over 90 leading designer and high street brands for up to 60% less, first introduced OSPREY LONDON to their outlet offering in 2010. As more savvy fashionistas flock in their droves to take advantage of the premium brands for less, OSPREY LONDON have incorporated outlet retailing as a key part of their brand building strategy.

The refit will see Swindon’s OSPREY LONDON store transformed to capture the essence of the OSPREY LONDON style: a contrast of English formal design paired with quirky one-of-a kind elements, including, authentic rugs, leather armchairs and a decadent driftwood chandelier. The revamped store will offer a constantly changing collection of OSPREY LONDON leather bags and accessories, including beautiful handmade scarves from Italy and top quality leather gloves for men and women, as well as items from the sportier O.S.P collection.

Tina Cumpstey, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet, says: “The gradual shift in shopper’s attitudes over the past few years has had an increasingly positive impact on outlet retailing. Shoppers today are looking for both great value and fantastic quality, an ethos we pride ourselves on at McArthurGlen. Our customers are guaranteed leading high street and designer brands for less, with prices your purse will love!”

Tina Cumpstey continues, “More and more brands, such as OSPREY LONDON, are starting to pick up on this shift in mentality and have started to incorporate outlet retailing as a core part of their retail strategy. Over the past two years McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet has seen influx of premium brands including Kurt Geiger and Lacoste with sales of designer wear up by an incredible 8.3% year-on-year.”

Graeme Ellisdon, Founder/MD of OSPREY LONDON, says: “We were delighted to undertake this extensive in-store re-launch – and hope that the finished result will add to the OSPREY LONDON shopping experience for our customers.” To celebrate the revamp, OSPREY LONDON is holding a number of in-store events and activities including VIP shopper experiences where VIP members will be treated to a glass of something fizzy whilst browsing the new AW11 collections.

McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet has recently added a number of new brands to its portfolio including designer shoe brand Kurt Geiger, children’s clothing company Mamas and Papas and most recently nautical fashion range Quba & Co.
