Bank robbery suspects were chased to Hagerstown Premium Outlets Monday

Joshua Andre Lockley
Washington County, Md.  --  Two men were arrested at Hagerstown's Premium Outlets after reportedly robbing a bank in Williamsport, Md., and fleeing a traffic stop Monday afternoon.

Joshua Andre Lockley, 28, of 424 N. Locust St. and Cruz Daniel Maldonado, 21, of 398 1/2 Bryan Place have been charged with armed robbery, theft of $1,000 to $10,000, assault, reckless endangerment, having a handgun in a vehicle, using a handgun in a felony, being a convicted felon with a handgun and numerous counts of conspiracy.

Robbery, chase
The Washington County Teachers Federal Credit Union, 16802 Virginia Ave., was robbed around 2 p.m. A black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black bandanna demanded cash from a teller and displayed a handgun, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

A state fire marshal saw the robber leaving the bank and get into a vehicle. He was able to provide investigators with a description of the vehicle, which a Maryland State Police trooper spotted on Oak Ridge Drive and followed to the outlets.

Cruz Daniel Maldonado
The trooper tried to stop the vehicle, but Maldonado — the driver — did not stop. He lost control of the vehicle, which jumped the curb and hit the rear of the American Eagle outlet.

Maldonado and Lockley got out of the vehicle and ran. Maldonado was found in the dressing room of the Eddie Bauer outlet and Lockley was found in the common area near the Timberland store, according to the sheriff's office.
