Tanger Outlets Myrtle Beach recently showed its thanks and support to several area agencies. During a brief ceremony, Tanger made two separate $22,602.97 donations to the Conway Medical Center Foundation and Caring In Our Lifetime. Tanger also donated two separate $1,000 donations to the Horry County Police and the Horry County Fire departments.

“We are very proud to show our support for these wonderful organizations that mean so much to our community,” said Nick Barrett, general manager of the Tanger Outlet Centers in Myrtle Beach.

“These men and women give of themselves all year long and help make the Horry County area a great place to live and work. They are the real heroes in our community.”

A check presentation ceremony was held on Jan. 9 at the Tanger Outlet Center on U.S. 501. Those on hand for the ceremony included Berns Massey and Blakely Roof (Conway Medical Center Foundation); and Sally Peeples, Gail Granchelli, Patti Williams and Julie Bostian (Caring In Our Lifetime). Lt. John Harrelson, with the Horry County Police Department and Chief Fred Crosby, with the Horry County Fire Deparment, were also present to accept their donations.

“Receiving the support of local businesses like the Tanger Outlet Center is very important to each of us,” said Harrelson with the Horry County Police Department. “The money donated by Tanger will be used for a variety of children’s and community programs.”

“Caring In Our Lifetime is extremely blessed to have been given the opportunity to partner with Tanger Outlet. As a recipient of the donation, the funds from Tanger will go a long way in assisting local breast cancer patients with their medical bills,” said Peebles.
