Tanger officials have decided to add 300 parking spots to the newly opened outlets after originally saying they didn't have plans for more parking.
Nearby businesses complained after Tanger's November 5 opening about lack of overflow parking. Some businesses surrounding the outlets were charging for parking while other customers were seen parking in the hospital parking lot.
Tanger owns an open parcel of land next to the shopping center, but the center's general manager said there are no immediate plans for more parking after the opening weekend.
Spokeswoman Kathy Hackshaw said the parking situation was planned and assured they would be fine on normal weekends.
Friday, Tanger announced they would add 300 gravel spaces by Black Friday.
Tanger shuttled in employees for opening weekend and said they will do the same for Black Friday.
