Employees robbed at gun point at Tanger Outlets Myrtle Beach



Two employees of the Bass Outlet store in the Myrtle Beach area of Horry County told officers that two men tried to rob them at gunpoint on Saturday night, according to an incident report released today.

The victims told police they were walking through the corridor between the Old Navy Store and Bass Outlet when two men approached them. The suspects had handguns and were wearing ski masks, according to the report by Horry County Police.

The suspects demanded money from one of the victims, and then asked the victim to take them back into the store. The victim refused and was hit in the head with a handgun, the report shows.

The handgun discharged during the incident but did not strike anyone.

The suspects then left the scene.

The victim suffered a laceration to his cheek and an abrasion above his right eye.
Police are investigating.
