Petaluma police are searching for a burglar or burglars who broke into the Coach store at the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets shopping center early Saturday and made off with what police described as a “large amount of merchandise.”
The stolen goods included purses and jackets, a police report stated. A dollar figure was not given and police officials were not immediately available Saturday for comment.
Police units arrived at the store, off Petaluma Boulevard North, shortly after the reported 2:30 a.m. break in. A CHP helicopter and police canine unit were later called to assist in the search for suspects.
Police did not provide a description of who they are searching for.
Officials urged anyone with information about the crime to contact Petaluma Officer Matt Thomas, (707) 778-4372.
