Tanger Outlet donates $31K to battle breast cancer

The Tanger Outlet Center in Nags Head raised and donated $31,354.55 for the battle against breast cancer.

“It takes all of us working with a common focus and determination to beat this terrible disease,” stated Steven B. Tanger, president and chief executive officer for Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. “I’m proud of our Tanger team members in Nags Head for their continued hard work in fighting breast cancer and I thank our shoppers for supporting Tanger’s mission to find a cure.”

Tanger’s 2011 PinkStyle Campaign ran Sept.15 to Oct. 25 with funds being raised through the sale of the popular Tanger PinkStyle Card. For a $1 donation to local breast cancer beneficiaries, Tanger customers received a special pink card that provided 25 percent bonus savings at participating Tanger Outlet Stores.

With its primary mission to save lives, Tanger’s Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign creates awareness for the importance of early detection and helps raise the money necessary to support ongoing breast cancer research. Tanger’s campaign also helps fund many important programs and facilities designed to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients.

As part of the annual PinkStyle Campaign, Tanger Outlets in 24 states topped the $1 million mark in funds raised for the cause for the fourth consecutive year. Since 1994, Tanger has donated over $10 million to fight breast cancer nationally. Locally,TangerOutletCenterin Nags H
