Unofficial Tanger Outlets plans show 80 stores

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers and Simon Property Group officials are planning an official announcement some time in June about retailers that will occupy the jointly developed 90-store outlet mall on 55 acres west of Interstate 45 and south of Holland Road in Texas City.

But a helpful reader has obtained and emailed a site plan showing about 80 stores, including food court tenants, have signed on or were negotiating leases at the outlet mall set to open in the fall. If the unsubstantiated site plan pans out, it shows several stores that have left the island’s downtown, La Marque’s Gulfway Plaza or Texas City’s Mall of the Mainland will return to the market. It also appears at least three tenants on the list already are in Gulfway Plaza, 11001 Delany Road. The list isn’t complete; some spaces are reserved.
