Autopsy on human bones found near Woodbury Common Premium Outlets

WOODBURY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say an autopsy is planned on human remains found scattered around a shopping center in the Hudson Valley.

Woodbury police tell the Middletown Times Herald-Record (http://bit.ly/16vxdZg ) the bones were found in a 400-foot radius around the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets last week after a worker initially reported finding what he thought was a Halloween prop.

They say clothing and other items found nearby led investigators to believe the remains are those of a woman.

The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office has scheduled an autopsy for Tuesday.
