Shoe and clothing design house Kenneth Cole has closed its doors at Carlsbad Premium Outlets, leaving one remaining Kenneth Cole location for San Diego at Las Americas Premium Outlets in San Ysidro.
Kate Spade New York, best known for its crisply colorful handbags, will take Kenneth Cole's place at the Carlsbad mall, with an estimated opening date of September 2013.
Kate Spade, which prides itself on a style it calls "playful sophistication," has two other stores in San Diego, on Girard Avenue in La Jolla and at Fashion Valley.
