The competition for which of Chesterfield's two outlet malls set to open next month will reign supreme is heating up.
Taubman Prestige Outlets, located on the east side of the Valley at the Boone's Crossing intersection, has purchased a prominent billboard ad announcing its Aug. 2 opening.
The sign is located at the entrance to Chesterfield Valley as you come in on I-64 from St. Louis County. And in evidence of the competition to come, they have also purchased a second, smaller billboard on Chesterfield Airport Road just a short distance from their bargain hunting competition, St. Louis Premium Outlets.
St. Louis Premium Outlets, opening Aug. 22 at the west end of the Valley just south of the Daniel Boone Bridge, made their own publicity smash last month when they held a massive job fair.
