The existing Adirondack Outlet Mall is a very successful 80,000sf outlet center that houses many strong outlet retailers, including Under Armour, Timberland, Children’s Place, Reebok, Dress Barn, Hanesbrands, Famous Footwear, and many others. The new center will combine excellent visibility, access and parking with a race-track concept containing a critical mass of stores within one center to provide the best shopping experience in the market.
The developers, the Kenny family, have been involved in the outlet industry since its inception in the mid-1980s. The strong demographic and tourism increases over the last few years in the Lake George area have led them to move forward with their plans to expand the existing center by removing an existing hotel to create a 20+ acre site to be home to the center with an additional 40-adjacent acres for future development. The Lake George market attracts over 15-million tourists each year, has a 75-mile population of over 1.75 million people and is a short drive from the metropolitan Montreal area. The Kenny family also noted that approvals and financing for the initial phase of the expansion is already in place and construction has already begun on the site with foundations being poured earlier this week.
