Outlets of Mississippi to Welcome Shoppers Celebrating Debut With More Than $10,000 in Sweepstakes Prizes and Give-Aways
PEARL, MS. (OCTOBER 30, 2013): The Outlets of Mississippi, the state’s largest outlet shopping destination located minutes from the capital city of Jackson in the city of Pearl, will welcome shoppers for its grand opening weekend celebration Thursday, Nov., 14 through Sunday, Nov., 17.
Developed by Spectrum Capital, a privately-owned, diversified real estate firm, the $80 million, 325,000 square foot outlet center features more than 80 leading designer and name-brand stores including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, COACH FACTORY, Michael Kors, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gap Factory Store, Cole Haan, Ann Taylor, LOFT, J.Crew, BCBG Max Azria, Chico’s Outlet, White House/Black Market, Levi’s, adidas, Nike Factory Store and Under Armour, among many more, each offering savings of up to 65 percent off regular retail prices every day.

Celebration taking place in front of Nike Factory Store, Thursday, Nov. 14 at 9:45 a.m. More than $10,000 in sweepstakes prizes and give-aways courtesy of merchants such as Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gap Factory Store and Nike Factory Store, among many others, will mark the outlet center’s grand opening festivities. Exclusive and limited-time store sales, special events and entertainment will also take place throughout the weekend.
Not only will the merchant community at the state’s largest outlet center offer shoppers dramatic saving opportunities, but the Outlets of Mississippi will also proudly celebrate the state’s rich heritage. Elements including art created by local artists; exhibits discussing historical events, achievements and iconic figures; a grand marble monument engraved with a map of the state marking Mississippi Blues Trail and Mississippi Country Music Trail locations; interactive touch-screen modules featuring Mississippi tourism information such as locations and photographs of historical sites, museums and other points of interest to promote Mississippi’s communities; and a collection of kiosks showcasing and selling the works of members of the Mississippi Craftsmen’s Guild will adorn the property. The Mississippi Development Authority will be housed in the outlet center’s Visitors Services office to welcome guests, distribute literature and inform shoppers of popular attractions throughout the state.
According to City of Pearl Mayor Brad Rogers the Outlets of Mississippi will be a great asset to both the Pearl local and business communities. “The addition of this world-class outlet shopping center to our city will generate significant revenue and add permanent jobs to our region. The outlet center will also quickly prove to be a vital part of strengthening our ability to attract tourists to the area.”
