Arrests made in counterfeit money ring in Gilroy

Gilroy police may have broken a counterfeit money ring operating out of the central valley.

Officers nabbed the suspects on Saturday morning after they had allegedly pass fake bills at local businesses including some at the Gilroy Premium Outlets.

Mikeal Jackson, Sarah Coberly and Marissa Rackley were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges to include, passing of fictitious bills, conspiracy, and burglary.

Police believe they crafted the currency in their room at the Gilroy Inn.
