Atlantic City Outlets get 13 new stores

For shoppers at Atlantic City Outlets – a pair of new stores opened over Memorial Day weekend: Toys “R” Us and the Black and Decker Clearance Center. They are part of 13 stores expected to open at The Walk through September.

A Puma outlet, a Hanes Brands outlet and a Zumiez skate and snowboard apparel shop have already come on board.

On June 9, a Michael Kors Outlet opened, while on July 2 The Walk welcomed Forever 21. Wet Seal and Aerosoles also are expected to open in early July.

“It’s very exciting to have so many great new name brands come into Atlantic City to join the successful mix of merchants at The Walk,” said general manager Kim Butler.

The Walk has proven a success in midtown Atlantic City since it first premiered in 2003.Today the area has more than 80 retail outlets, including food establishments.

A third phase of The Walk is under construction. There’s a fourth phase, Atlantic City Live, on the drawing boards. Atlantic City Live will consist of a row of night clubs and restaurants along Atlantic Avenue near Mississippi Avenue.
