Lindt will be taking a 140m² unit in the scheme and Levi’s will be taking a 200 m² unit. Both brands will add to the luxury and lifestyle offer at the outlet scheme. Nike will be taking an 848m² unit, making it one of the largest stores at ONE Fashion Outlet. All three stores will open with phase one of the €75 million scheme in 2012 and are expected to be a big draw for brand conscious Slovakians.
George Van Vugt, Director of Estates, Nike, said, “At Nike we are delighted to be opening our first outlet store in Slovakia. ONE Fashion Outlet is the strongest outlet scheme in the country because of its brand mix and high quality design. Nike has a powerful full-price appeal in the Slovakian market and this is the ideal moment to add to this with an outlet retail offer.”
This latest signing for the outlet scheme comes after Rohleder Lumby and SJ International, the letting agents at ONE Fashion Outlet, announced six high-profile brands - adidas, GANT, Benetton, Tom Tailor, Envy and Esprit and Schiesser Underwear and a new Business Development Manager last month.
Giles Membrey, Managing Director of Rioja Developments at ONE Fashion Outlet says, “Welcoming Nike as an anchor brand confirms our position as the dominant outlet centre in the country for ONE Fashion Outlet. With seven key brands already on board, we are expecting many others to follow suit in the coming months. This signing is proof that we are making quick progress on the scheme- so watch this space.”
The centre’s catchment includes Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. When ONE Fashion Outlet opens, it will be accessible by 4.8 million people within a 90-minute drive time.
