A robber uses a large kitchen knife at Gilroy Premium Outlets

A man on probation was arrested for trying to use a large kitchen knife to rob someone at the Gilroy Premium Outlets on Monday morning, police said.
Gilroy police said they responded to the 8300 block of Arroyo Circle at 9:20 a.m. after getting calls that a man had tried to stab and rob someone, then ran away.
Officers quickly found 25-year-old Darrell Gentry in the area, who matched the suspect description and had a large kitchen knife and a "communications device" on him, police said. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of attempted robbery, possessing a dangerous weapon and probation violation.
Police are still looking for a second suspect.
