The Jackson Police are investigating a “smash and grab” burglary and
theft that occurred at the Wilson’s Leather Outlet Store in the Jackson
Village Outlet Mall. During the overnight hours on Saturday February
4th 2012 the
Suspect(s) involved in the burglary used a wooden handled combination
sledge hammer/axe to break through the tempered glass front door of the
store. After breaking through the front door, the suspect(s) removed a
couple racks of display items from the store.
Jackson Police are in the process of reviewing video surveillance
from the Jackson Premium Outlets. Jackson Police Officer Frank Cipully
handled the initial investigation. Detective Skieczius of the Ocean
County Criminal Investigative Unit also responded to the incident. The
Jackson Premium Outlet Mall is located at 537 Monmouth Road in Jackson
Township.
