The new Paragon Outlets mall set to open Nov. 8 in Livermore is
expected to generate some 2,000 jobs, the Contra Costa Times reports.
The 543,000-square-foot shopping center along Interstate 580 at El
Charro Road will be anchored by a Bloomingdale's outlet. Other outlets
at the mall will include Barney's New York, Brooks Brothers Factory
Store, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Banana Republic Factory Store, J. Crew
and Nike Factory Store.
Paragon Outlets is planning to host a job fair in early fall to help fill the new positions.
The city and the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board are also offering workshops for job applicants.
The $162 million mall will bring the city of Livermore an estimated $2 million in sales tax revenue.
It is being built across I-580 from other a new retail center in Dublin that includes a large Target store
