WESTBROOK >> Spring heats up at Tanger Outlets Westbrook with a
Backyard Barbecue Contest on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
as part of Tanger’s Taste & Style Weekend. Open to both backyard
grillers and professionals, teams will compete for the best pork ribs
and the best chicken wings.
Judges will be awarding first, second
and third place cash prizes in both categories, comprised of the entry
fees — 50 percent will be divided among the two first place winners, 30
percent will be split for the second place winners and third place will
split the remaining 20 percent.
The entry fee is $50 per team and
open to the first 100 registrants. Advanced registration is required.

packet, including the rules and regulations.
Tanger’s Taste &
Style Weekend will be two full days of food oriented events, including;
cooking demonstrations from local chefs, 15 to 20 food trucks, live
music and a chance to win a trip for two.
