Deputies responded about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to a "burglary just occurred" call at the Gucci store at 48650 Seminole Drive, Sgt. Sean Bahash of the sheriff's Cabazon Station said.
Burglars broke into the Gucci store at Desert Hills Premium Outlets early Wednesday, and they dumped about $20,000 worth of "designer fashion accessories" as they left and deputies arrived, a sheriff's sergeant said.
Deputies responded about 1:30 a.m. to a "burglary just occurred" call at the Gucci store at 48650 Seminole Drive, Sgt. Sean Bahash of the sheriff's Cabazon Station said.
Cabazon deputies arrived and quickly set up a perimeter to try to catch the burglars, Bahash said. Deputies, including a dog handler and trained dog, searched extensively but could not find the suspects, Bahash said.
They did find and recover most, if not all, of the stolen property discarded by the fleeing suspects, Bahash said.
The recovered property consisted of designer fashion accessories and was valued at approximately $20,000, Bahash said.
The suspects were described as two black men in their 20s, wearing dark, hooded sweatshirts, Bahash said.
