NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
North Charleston police have released descriptions of the two suspects spotted fleeing from the scene after murdering an escort near the Tanger Outlets late Monday.

According to an incident report, witnesses told investigators a stocky, white male standing approximately 6' tall and a white female in her early 20s, standing approximately 5'6" were seen running from the scene and climbing into a dark-colored SUV that was sitting on Hotel Road.

Police say the SUV was driven by a third person, described by police as a white male in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a black hat.

Investigators say the male suspect was wearing a light blue shirt with khaki cargo shorts and the female suspect was wearing either a blue or black spaghetti strap top and daisy duke shorts.

Officers were called out to the 4800 block of Tanger Outlet Boulevard shortly before 11 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

"This lady got shot, the lady got shot in the head," a man can be heard telling a 911 operator. "They shot her, I heard the gunshot and I saw a woman and another man run off."

According to the witness, he saw two people take the victim's pocketbook following the shooting, and run from the scene.

"There's a body laying in the road on Tanger Outlet Boulevard," a man tells emergency officials during another 911 call.

Police, and some civilians, arrived on scene to find the escort dead from gunshot wounds in the roadway. "We were just in Walmart, and we came out and saw the police and everything, and we asked what happened, and [then] we saw a woman stretched out on the ground dead," said one woman at the scene.

The victim, 41-year-old Pamelia Gravely, from Myrtle Beach, was an escort with an ad on backpage.com, according to police.

Investigators say she was a transient resident of an area hotel. They do not believe the attack was random.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information on the suspects, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
