Kansas City, Kan. (October 10, 2013) – Legends Outlets Kansas City, Kansas City’s only outlet shopping destination, has big plans for the holiday season filled with multiple events, activities and fun ways to win holiday prizes.
Kicking off the holidays at Legends Outlets is its ninth annual holiday tree lighting ceremony featuring local musicians playing holiday music leading up to the pinnacle of the evening – a countdown to the lighting of Legends Outlets’ dynamic synchronized lighting display. Five days later, shoppers will enjoy the kick-off of 23 consecutive hours of Black Friday shopping, events and giveaways during Legends Outlets Moonlight Madness Pajama Jam and Cocoa Couture Lounge starting on Thanksgiving night. In addition, Legends Outlets’ 12-Day Holiday Giveaway is back for its second consecutive year, providing shoppers with chances to win valuable prizes during the first 12 days of December. Lastly, extended valet service hours are available for shoppers with the option to text the valet stand to have vehicles warm and ready upon departing Legends Outlets for added shopping convenience.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:
Legendary Lighting Ceremony with Santa
When: Saturday, Nov. 23, 6 – 8 p.m. (center courtyard)
What: As one of the region’s first displays of animated lights synchronized to music, Legends Outlets celebrates the ninth year of hosting its Legendary Lighting Ceremony. Centered around its 45-foot holiday tree, the ceremony will feature an extraordinary display of synchronized lights that will serve as the backdrop for 11 local musicians playing holiday music. The musicians will perform from 6 – 7:30 p.m. and the countdown to the tree lighting will take place at 7:45 p.m., providing visitors the first opportunity to enjoy a synchronized holiday lighting display in the metro area. Santa will join the Legendary Lighting Ceremony festivities, arriving at 6 p.m. for families to take photos to capture their holiday memories. Santa will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. to start the ceremony.
Legends Outlets shoppers will enjoy the synchronized lighting display every 15 minutes throughout the holiday season.
Moonlight Madness Pajama Jam and Cocoa Couture Lounge
When: Thursday, November 28:
Moonlight Madness Pajama Jam: 9 p.m.
Black Friday Shopping: 10 p.m. – close on November 29 (9 p.m.)
What: The Moonlight Madness Pajama Jam leads into Black Friday for 23 solid hours of shopping at Legends Outlets. Nearly all Legends Outlets retailers will open at 10 p.m. for shoppers to experience the biggest savings of the year. Starting at 9 p.m. on Nov. 28, shoppers arriving in their most festive pajamas can enter a special Cocoa Couture Lounge in the Legends Outlets’ center courtyard with couches, heaters and hot cocoa.
The first 500 pajama-wearing shoppers to arrive will receive a Legends Outlets mug of hot cocoa. A selection will reveal prizes from Legends Outlets retailers at the bottom of the mug. At 10:30 p.m., the Cocoa Couture Lounge will turn into a giveaway center where shoppers will have the opportunity to register to receive exclusive chances to win prizes. Winners will be announced via the center-wide speaker system every 30 minutes from 10 p.m. – 3 a.m. Shoppers must be present to win.
Live music will supplement the holiday spirit with holiday melodies near the prize giveaway center from 10 p.m. – 3 a.m.
12-Day Holiday Giveaway
When: December 1 – 12, 2013
What: Legends Outlets fans can countdown to the holidays with chances to win valuable prizes with its second annual Legends Outlets 12-Day Holiday Giveaway. From Dec. 1 – 11, fans can win prizes from various Legends Outlets’ merchants. On Dec.12, the grand prize, a $500 Legends Outlets gift card, will be given away. Fans can enter for multiple chances to win on the Legends Outlets Facebook page.
