Designer outlet developer McArthurGlen has developed mobile sites for its seven UK outlets.
Designed and built by Code Computerlove, the mobile sites will go live Wednesday, aiming to offer customers a ‘tailor-made user experience’ when accessing its websites through mobile technology.
Ste Brennan, head of mobile at Code Computerlove explained that the McArthurglen group has seen a daily rise in shoppers viewing its website through Smartphones, so commissioned the Manchester agency to develop mobile variants of their online presences across the UK. These included latest instore offers, a brand directors, the latest news and outlet information such as the directors and travel details to each store.
Twitter and Facebook sign up for McArthurglen’s social media feeds is also encouraged by the sites.
“While many think the app is the Holy Grail in terms of embracing the potential of smartphone technology, it’s actually imperative that brands get their mobile sites sorted as a primary platform for mobile interaction,” commented Brennan.
“Clients that we’ve already developed mobile sites for are reporting increases in conversion, where delivering a mobile experience for mobile users maximizes this traffic. First TransPennine Express saw traffic to the mobile site accounting for as much as 8.4% of overall traffic within a couple of weeks of launch,” he added.
Code is also in the process of developing three more mobile sites for nmsi for the Science Museum, the National Railway Museum and the National Media Museum – all of which will go live later this month.
